1) Basquiat’s NFT withdrawn from the auction due to lack of license
Free Comb with Pagoda, drawing on paper by Jean-Michel Basquiat offered for sale as an NFT on the OpenSea marketplace, was withdrawn from the auction due to the absence of the license and rights to the work by the seller. To confirm this is David Stark, Head of the Basquiat Archive: “The property of Jean-Michel Basquiat owns the copyright of the work of art referred to. No license or right has been transferred to the seller and the NFT was subsequently removed from the sale. “
2) David Datuna and the Dole Sunshine Company together to create NFT
The enterprising David Datuna, the artist who ate Maurizio Cattelan’s $ 120,000 banana at Art Basel in 2019, is back to being talked about. Datuna has decided to start a collaboration with the Dole Sunshine Company for the creation of NFT works focused on the theme of nutrition. From 6 May the NFTs are available on Rarible while the proceeds will be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
3) New drops on the way: among them the highly anticipated Beeple collection

Furthermore, last but not least, the highly anticipated “Spring / Summer Collection 2021 蜂 鸟: 2021 年 春夏 系列” by the artist Beeple.
