Jay-Z debuts in the Crypto world
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his debut album Reasonable Doubt, singer Jay-Z decided to create a celebratory NFT with artist Derrick Adams.
Artist Adams welcomed the collaboration, stating that “Reasonable Doubt has changed the game and continues to influence so many people” and added that “with this project we are embracing together the opportunity to foster the conversation about how artists of different means contribute to a more inclusive society ”.
The work, entitled Heir to the Throne, features the rapper’s portrait in an animated version and will be sold by the auction house Sotheby’s with a minimum starting estimate of $ 1,000. The auction will end on July 2nd and part of the proceeds will be donated to the Shawn Carter Foundation, founded by Jay-Z himself with the aim of financing education for the less fortunate.The NFT can also be visited in the virtual space of the auction house in the Voltaire Art District di Decentraland..
